Utah Permit to Carry for returning students: $70.00 - offered to returning students who have already taken the Minnesota Permit to Carry offered by Rusty (please bring certificate). Includes training material, book on the Legalities of the Permit to Carry in Minnesota, fingerprinting, passport style photo and copy of Driver's License. Range Fee $15.00. Does not include the $65.25 fee to the State of Utah.
Minnesota/Utah or Florida Combination: $195.00 - complete both training qualifications on the same day. Save time and money on this combination. Get this combination and we will throw the 3rd permit in for free.
NRA Basic Pistol: $125.00 - Includes training material, 1 yr NRA Liberty membership, book on Basic Pistol Training and targets. Range fee $15.00.
Advanced Conceal Carry: $120.00 - Includes training material, book on Tactical Shooting and targets. A $20.00 discount will be applied for students from Rusty's Permit to Carry Classes.
Tactical Shotgun: $120.00 - Includes training material, book on Tactical Shotgun and targets.
What happens on the day of class?
I will call the night before to firm up plans for the day.
What to bring: Bring the handgun you are going to carry (no single action cowboy style gun - we also rent handguns for $10.00 if you do not have a handgun to use), fifty rounds of factory ammo (you can purchase the ammo at Scheels), driver's license and your fee for the class by cash or check. Leave your handgun secured in your car until we go to the range.
We will meet at the Customer Service Counter at Scheels at 9:30 am to register for class.
Class starts at 10:00 am.
We will take a one hour lunch break (Scheels has a great cafeteria)
At about 4:00 pm, we go to the range in West Fargo or Horace (MN/FL students) and ND Class II students will remain in the classroom for the ND testing . We should wrap it up no later than 6:00 pm.

Classroom
Minnesota Permit to Carry/Renewal - Expect to spend at least four hours in the classroom for the Minnesota Permit to Carry. You will receive a student packet to follow along with the presentation. We encourage you to ask questions and provide input into the class experience.
After the classroom session, the law requires that all permit candidates must pass a shooting proficiency test. You will be evaluated on proficiency and safe handling of the handgun.
Utah Permit to Carry - If you have taken your Minnesota Permit to Carry with Rusty, you are eligible for a reduced fee. You will receive handouts on the Utah Permit to Carry, Minnesota Permit to Carry and North Dakota Permit to Carry Laws, a resource disk with additional information, and other supporting documents. This four hour+ class will have additional information on the Minnesota Permit to Carry and the North Dakota Permit to Carry. You will have hands-on weapons familiarization in the class room with Rusty's handguns and training ammunition. We will roll your fingerprints, take your passport photo, make a copy of your drivers license and notarize your application in the classroom to assist you in completing the application process.
North Dakota Permit to Carry Class II - North Dakota requires the applicant successfully complete an open book test (one hour to complete) prior to applying for the 3 year permit. You will be provided with the North Dakota Permit to Carry Manual in the classroom. You can download this manual prior to the class.

NRA Basic Pistol - This course is for anyone who wants to understand the safety rules and basic function of handguns. Today, handguns are enjoying increased popularity due to the vast majority of states allowing law-abiding competent adults to carry them for personal protection. So as handgun become more present and their use increases, so goes the need for basic training.
This course provides the handgun novice with the necessary safety, operational and practical handgun training needed to continue on to a permit to carry class or to just enjoy target shooting.
When finished, you will have learned:
How to safely load and fire a handgun.
You will have fired 100 rounds from a revolver and 100 rounds from a semiautomatic.
You will understand the basics of how both a revolver and a semi auto function.
You will understand ammunition.
You will understand the basic rules of handgun safety.
